Skrawdab

The Skrawdab a small rat-like bird is native to St. Croix, consumed as food by the poor throughout the Gitten system. The meat is tough and fibrous, but it’s inexpensive and highly nutritious.

Like most St. Croix life, the Skrawdab is quasi-avian, but it’s flightless and has in fact evolved to use its wings as another pair of legs. This, of course, means that each Skrawdab has four drumsticks.
